Academy
The Academy of Figurative Art was founded with the purpose of equipping students with the tools required for representational painting.
The program enables its students to reach a very high technical level in this style. The guiding philosophy ascribes supreme importance to the direct observation of nature and its description in painting.
The academy operates in a spacious studio with a window that provides steady natural northern light. It includes a coffee corner and a library, where students meet in the course of the day. The students work uninterrupted from 8:30 AM to 3:30 PM, engaging in painting and drawing still lifes, classic sculpture, live models and portraits. The curriculum is designed in stages, so that the learners progress at the right pace for each individual, moving from one stage to the next as they are ready.
The exercises are built in sequence, with the aim of learning to create representational art. Attention is placed on learning and understanding all essential stages, from a quick sketch to the finished painting.
