The Drawing course is designed as a base for the painting course, and completing the Drawing unit is a prerequisite for the rest of the program. Learning to draw accurately requires a refined capacity for observing in nature and provides a strong foundation for skillful painting.

This program is designed to strengthen the student's ability to observe three dimensional objects, to help students master clear and direct observation of the human figure, and to prepare students for painting with oils.
